Seeing as how I actually have a few deviations under my belt, I guess it's time to update my journal.

About a week ago I took out my camera in what many would label a "mudane situation." I was immediately asked, "Oh, are you a photographer?" All the great works of photographic deviance I've witnessed in over these past two years sprung to mind. I was reticent to put myself in the same catetory as such greats as (in no particular order):

, , , , , , , , , ,, , , , , , , , , and so very, very many more that I hesitate to group myself with that I just had to say, "No. I just like to take pictures."

I mean come on, I don't even know what all the little buttons on my camera do yet. BTW, if anyone could give me a few pointers or face me in the direction of a good tutorial on shooting sunsets and not blowing out the sky, I'd be forever in your debt. I many not be a full-fledged, hoity-toity photographer yet, but with enough training and practice, I'm sure I'll get there...while having a damn good time along the way.
